National Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Council Announces Endorsement of
Yesli Vega for Congress

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MAY 17, 2022

Today, National Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Council President Chris Crane released the following statement after the National ICE Council officially endorsed Yesli Vega for the U.S. House of Representatives in the 7th Congressional District of Virginia:

“On behalf of the men and women of the National Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Council, we are proud to endorse Prince William County Supervisor and Deputy Sheriff, Yesli Vega, for Congress.

In 2020, Supervisor Yesli Vega went to the mat to preserve Prince William County’s vital and lifesaving 287(G) agreement with ICE. That summer, she took a tremendous amount of heat for standing with the men and women of law enforcement, including ICE, but never wavered. She was there for those of us merely trying to do our jobs, and today, we’re here for her.

From her lived experience of having a close family member nearly murdered by MS-13 to serving in three different Northern Virginia law enforcement agencies, Supervisor Vega has first-hand knowledge of the types of crimes committed by those here illegally in Northern Virginia and throughout the 7th District and has pledged to support ICE officers in their critical public safety and national security missions.

In Congress, she’ll fight the Biden Administration’s open borders agenda and work to restore respect for those who put their lives on the line to protect us every day. Supervisor Yesli Vega has earned the full support of the ICE Council through her words, votes, and actions. We are proud to endorse her in her race for Congress in Virginia’s 7th Congressional District.”
