Portland Mini Metro Lunch and Learn Cancelled

Dear Local 40 Members,

On April 14th, 2010 AFGE local 40 was forced to cancel a Mini Metro Lunch and Learn that had been in the planning stages for months.

Portland CIS managemet refused to grant us a room for the meetings stating "last time you used the room, you left it smelling like Pizza."

Regardless of the smell, the room was availible and CIS has violated the contract and will be dealt with as necessary.

I am sorry that you missed out on this exellent opportunity to meet with National AFGE representatives as well as the Benefits coordinators.

We will keep you advised of our response to this blatant dissregard of the new contract.
